Happy Holidays
A couple of years ago we hosted our Gourmet Group during the holidays. Our theme for the dinner was “A Yuletide Dinner”. Here is how I put together this tablescape in a step by step fashion.
As I often do when starting my tablescapes, I placed mirrors in the center of the table to reflect the light. I added a vase with some outdoor branches that were sprayed silver, and hung some silver ornaments on the branches.
Next came ivory candles of various sizes… there’s nothing wrong with colored candles but personally I just prefer the simple look of white or ivory candles. Plus I don’t like to purchase colored candles that you usually only use once or twice a year.
Next I added two red & gold trees and a red & gold decorative garland to the table.
Place settings came next – chargers, dinner plates and salad plates of 4 different colors purchased from one of my favorite “go-to” stores, Pottery Barn.
I used little rhinestone picture frames for name place cards. These I also purchased at Pottery Barn for the purpose of name place cards or tiny messages at a dinner table.
Silverware, red wine glasses to be used as water glasses and a small stocking filled with a little gift (wine pull) from Santa…
Here’s a look at the Finished Tablescape…
I continued my red and gold color theme to my side chest…
