On a personal note:
I am fairly new to the World of Blogging – just under one year. I basically fell into a blog last summer while doing a Google search on fireplaces of all things. I pretty much became instantly fascinated and addicted.
This is the first blog I’ve ever posted. So please bear with me over time as I attempt to become proficient and experienced in blogging. I also have to say I am not the most computer literate person (I don’t even pretend to be). I do believe, though, I have some great ideas to share.
Now on to some floral inspirational:
Even though most of us can’t afford floral arrangements like those at Four Seasons Hotels, we can still get inspiration and ideas from them. Last year I was fortunate enough to travel to the Four Seasons George V Paris Hotel. I took the following pictures of their gorgeous floral arrangements displayed throughout the hotel. I believe their flower arrangements are still designed “under the umbrella” of Floral Designer Extraordinaire, Jeff Leatham.
I think the important thing to gather from these photos is what the impact of just one flower color in an arrangement can make. Different heights of the flowers can also make a big impact. Also, think about what vessel you would like to display the flowers in. Glass or solid?

About four years ago, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel in California. They also had beautiful flowers throughout the hotel. Some of the arrangements reminded me of Jeff Leatham’s style and certainly are very similar to those of the Four Seasons.
Colored stones added for extra interest…
The height of the flowers and glass vase make a huge impact!
Simple beauty in your home:
A few years ago a friend of mine gave several of us this sweet vase tied with ribbon for Mother’s Day. The vase contained a single, beautiful rose just like above. What a touching, unexpected gift! Even though, this “floral arrangement” was very small, I found the impact to be big. A small vase like this looks great in a powder room, nook of a kitchen, or used as an individual place setting at a dining table. This tiny vase and what it can hold can bring someone/you simple pleasure & beauty into your home daily.
Remember decorating is in the details…Find inspiration everywhere.
What a great “first” blog! The flowers are beautiful!
